I designed the DealerLink logo and website for MasterCraft boat dealers to get news, technical information and recall alerts. This website is hidden to the public, but take a peek below!
Vote Mostly Online
Identity Web Design Animation Print & Packaging
Vote Mostly Online is a project for Wisconsin residents to order an absentee ballot online for free.
This tool would allow a person to spend 10 minutes online and pass off all the legwork to us. We fill out their physical paperwork, facilitating the absentee voter process for them. They can receive a ballot in the mail without ever putting on pants.
As a freelance designer partnering with Ninjas For Health (a public health team), I worked start-to-finish with the Vote Mostly team, designing the identity, website, and packaging. Then, I finished it off with an animation.
Identity Web Design
The Make Conference (formerly MakeShit), is a design conference by the folks at Design Madison. This after-work project was completed for the group's 2014 conference.
Simple letterforms are made possible with moiré pattern, an unsought effect of computer screens. The facade of MMoCA, the conference’s location, is also hinted in the letterforms. Stacking the four letters in balanced compositions refers back to the intent of the conference itself—to make.
Design Butter Sculpture Event Organizing
I help organize The Rock County Folk Symposium is a 5-year-old arts and music festival held in my hometown of Janesville, Wisconsin. Each year 400 people come to camp, eat roasted sweet corn, listen to live music, and enjoy the outdoor setting for around 20 artists and their installations, alternate reality games and performances.
With ten of my close friends, we create a unique and esoteric festival experience that explores Wisconsin politics, challenges heritage, and provides a space for outsider art.
I design the brand and web presence, screen print merch, and gather installation artists.
I sculpted hands out of butter and placed them around the festival for goers to butter their sweet corn coming hot off the grill.
Cannibal tomatoes! I teamed up with FairShare CSA Coalition and the Shitty Barn in Spring Green, WI. It was tomato season.
A fun poster celebrating the anticipation of BombPop weather while stuck in rainy April. I love portmanteau, so "Bombrella" works for me.
#foodface is a way of arranging different types of food in such a way that resembles, understandably, a face. However, I gave myself a restriction. The plate must contain all of the food I was about to eat. That means no pictures of a simple sriracha mouth with carrot slivered eyes, for example, because that isn't the entire meal. It has to be all of the food, even if it's hidden under the rice, it must be in the bowl.
